Doesn’t matter if you’re expecting some Deepavali guests over at tea time or you just want to have a nice tea time snack, this easy to make chicken dhal vaddai recipe will please everyone’s stomach.

Ingredients
1 cup dhal (soak for 4 hours)
250gm minced chicken
6 green chillies, finely sliced
1/4 ginger, finely sliced
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tsp fennel seeds
4 stalks curry leaves, finely sliced
1 onion, chopped
3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp salt
oil
Kitchen Appliance:
Any Rinnai Gas Hob/Stove or Electric Hob
Method
In a blender, blend the cinnamon stick, chopped garlic, sliced ginger, sliced green chillies and fennel seeds.
Once those ingredients are blend together properly, add in the soaked dhal and continue to blend until a coarse paste is formed.
Then transfer the mixture into a bowl and add in the chopped onions, coriander leaves and curry leaves, minced chicken and salt and mix all the ingredients together.
When it’s well combined, take a small portion to form into a patty. The amount of patties formed will depends on the portion to take to form a patty.
After forming all the patties, set them aside and pre-heat a pan with oil enough to fry them.
Fry the patties in small batches until they’re golden brown. When they’re done, place them on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
Let it cool for a few minutes and they’re ready to be enjoyed!
