Christmas Chocolate Puff Pastry Tree

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 50 grams chocolate spread
  • 2 egg yolks

Method

  1. Lay two sheets of puff pastry on a baking sheet.
  2. Roughly carve the puff pastry into the shape of a Christmas tree.
  3. Spread chocolate spread evenly on one sheet of pastry.
  4. Place the other sheet of puff pastry on top. Cut slits on both sides spacing them 1 centimeter apart, leaving the center intact.
  5. Gently twist each pastry strip.
  6. Cut out a star shape with the leftover puff pastry bits and place this on the top of the tree.
  7. Brush pastry with the egg yolks, mixed with a little bit of water.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes in Rinnai Oven at 220°
  9. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
